Here's an update for all of you following the Wegley family in AZ.

So far 2009 has not been fun. We were pregnant. Then we weren't. Emily was laid off. We all got really sick. Emily's grandmother died. Then our refrigerator stopped working.

With all that said, that is not the purpose of the post. This post is to say what awesome friends and family we have and how awesome they all are and have been in the last month and a half. During this time, we have received a refrigerator for FREE from some awesome friends. Got help getting it in the house. Help getting Emily to Iowa for her grandmother's funeral. Not to mention all the prayer and calls from everyone! We have had so much support. It's been a very humbling year so far.

Emily, Ian and I are all really glad you are all in our lives and we are looking forward to the rest of 2009. It's gonna get better!

Happy day to all you wonderful Momma's out there! I hope you were able to put your feet up and relax alittle! LOL
I had such a great day spending time with my mom and some family time...went to good ol' Chompies!! Yum...a bit crazy with all the people of course, but such a great time anyway. Then, off mom and I went to get pedicures together! How relaxing is that!? We had a great time. Later, we went to church and came home and had a chat with David's mom and dad via video chatting. That is always so fun and Ian can see his Gramma and Paw Paw that way. Hope you all had a good day...you deserve it!

Yesterday Emily was feeling kind of weird and jokingly said "I might be prego. Har har har." Well, a test later and we saw the awesome plus sign.

So we are already thinking of names and getting excited.

Whoa! It has been way too long since my last post! Sorry!!

I'm so happy and thankful for so many things. Here's a few for today!

My husband came home this week with these beautiful flowers...for no reason! Now as I'm learning in my awesome life group (were discussing the 5 love languages, a whole different post), gifts is not my main love language. But, who doesn't like a gift!? And, it kind of falls into acts of service which is one of mine so...anyway, they made my week! Thanks honey!

Which brings me to another great thing. Today I got a new lens for my camera! It is awesome and I am loving it!

Happy birthday to our boy today! We had a great birthday party on Sunday with our family. He enjoyed every minute of his "Cars" theme! He is so into the Cars movie these days that we had to celebrate with them! I attempted decorating my first cake this year and it turned out pretty good I guess, b/c even Ian knew what it was! He kept saying "Race Mom, Race"!! He was so blessed with so many gifts. Thanks to all! Happy Birthday Bud! (For some reason it is not allowing me to post pics so as soon as I can, I will put some up of his birthday party). The morning of his party he saw his birthday hat sitting on the table and he wanted to put it on. He wore it all morning! That was so cute!

Home Improvements

Well, alot of excitement has been going on in the Wegley world! We have been working on our house for the past 3 weeks and finally we are at a stopping point...for now! We realized that this can become very addicting! We are so glad Ian's birthday gave us a deadline to meet, or we think it may have never gotten finished! Ha. Ha! Thanks to all who helped make it happen. We have some great friends and wonderful family that worked hard too to help us finish in time! We love you all and are so happy with the results. We can now get some rest and relax a little for the holidays in our "new" home! (It's hard to tell in the picture, but we changed all the hardware, added a dishwasher and got new countertops/sink/faucet as well as painting of course!)

Growing Up!

Wow! I can't believe our little man will be 2 in just a few short weeks! Seems like we just brought him home from the hospital! Time sure does fly. Busy, busy, yes he is! He is such a little ham too! We took him out for his much overdue photo shoot a couple of weeks ago. Here are some of the pics from it. He is starting to say some of the funniest things..."Mom, I burt". (translation..."I burped"). So, we are also learning how to be polite by saying "Ec-tuse me"! It is seriously so funny. Then you try not to laugh, but you can't help it!
Update on the potty training. Well, he was doing great for a few weeks, then had an "accident" with the toilet (long story) and decided he wasn't going to do that anymore! So, we have put that on the back burner for now. Oh well, one day we will start in again...one day. I hope it comes soon!

I guess this is my first official post to my new blog. A blog all my own. I don't know if that is a good thing or not! Ha. I hope to keep it up, but seems I never post as often as I would like. Anyway here goes...Fall...just been thinking about it.

I just love fall, autumn, whatever you want to call it. I don't know what it is about the fall that just makes me happy! The temperature has dropped just a bit and it got me dreaming and smiling. Growing up in the midwest I guess is part of it. The trees change color, the sound of leaves crunching under your feet, football games, sweatshirts, blankets, hot chocolate, cuddle time with your sweetie, and pumpkin pie! Thinking of all these things and more that fall brings, just puts a smile on my face. What is your favorite season and what do you like about it?!!
